This vulnerable interview with Dr. Bhasha Mukherjee reveals what it is like to be on the frontlines as a junior doctor during the pandemic coupled with the social pressures of being Miss England 2019-2021.

“As humans it is sad that we are losing our ability to empathize” she states while discussing the collective experience of so much daily tragedy that can leave all of US emotionally numb at times.

The heartbreaking loss and remembrance of the late Miss USA Cheslie Kryst set the stage for Dr. Bhasha and I to have a transparent discussion about her own struggle with depression and anxiety.

Dr. Bhasha Mukherjee:

Dr Bhasha Mukherjee is medical doctor and the former Miss England 2019-2021 who was the first Indian to win Miss England and represented England at Miss World 2019. She is a double degree holder and speaks 5 languages.  Bhasha has worked on the frontlines for the last 3 years and continues to work as a doctor in the East Midlands. She also is very involved with charity work across the world,and works closely with charities like DIABETES UK to promote health campaigns for prevention of Type two Diabetes.
